Under My Tasks in the upper-left corner, click Tasks. My other option seems to be to make everything into an event instead of a task, but then I can't mark things as complete. How do I get my tasks back in Outlook In the lower-left corner of the Outlook window, click More (.) and then click Tasks. The calendar view I can print and looks the best, but 1-3 seem to all be a problem. The timeline view helps with 1&3, but I can't figure out 2&4.
Right now everything shows up as 12:00am, which doesn't work for tasks that are for a specific time - and looks especially bad when a dependent task comes before the primary task. The Tasks feature in Outlook is a great way to keep track of what you need to get done, but it’s also a good way to help collaborate with others and assign tasks to them. From anywhere in Outlook, hover over the Tasks icon to see your to-do list. Select the Reminder checkbox if you'd like to set a reminder. Select the Tasks icon, and then select New Task. If you want to hide completed tasks, add Date Completed, does not exist. You'll need to create the filter on the Filter dialog's Advanced tab, using Message Class, contains, task (or ipm.task) to show only task items. While you can't delete the To-Do List or set the Task list to be the default folder, you can create a custom view that hides everything except tasks. My Tasks are in Tasks, and I am constantly selecting that list to view, but Outlook thinks it should default back to the To-Do List, which is not where my Tasks are. I have a problem with the To-Do List under My Tasks in Outlook, in the navigation pane.

Some users just want to see tasks, not flagged messages, and would like to delete the To-Do list or set the Tasks folder to open by default: Most of us use Outlook to manage our emails and our calendar, but far too few people take advantage of the Tasks function in Outlook. Not everyone likes the To-Do List opening as the default folder when switching to the Task pane.
